Thaajuddeen School is a single session government school in Male’ (the capital of Maldives) comprising grades from 1-10 and has student enrollment of about 1300.Thaajuddeen School was opened on 7th February 1989 by His Excellency Maumoon Abdul Gayoom as a primary school. The school is named after Hassan Thaajuddeen who was a great Maldivian Historian. Thaajuddeen School was reconstructed and officially opened on 7th June 2004. The new building is a Grant Aid from the people and the Government of Japan, as a token of friendship and cooperation between Japan and Republic of Maldives. The medium of instruction is English. We at Thaajuddeen School have a strong focus on student leadership, on promoting positive values and developing a sense of global citizenship and we are focused on preparing our students for the real world which is ever changing. We believe in striving for excellence.
Thaajuddeen School moved to a single session school at the beginning of the new academic year 2010, January. The understanding among school stakeholders is that there are positive aspects of single session schooling for students.
At Thaajuddeen School we believe in implanting a holistic education . Hence we have incorporated sports clubs and uniform activities for grades above 3. The activities run from 1.45pm – 4.30pm on all normal school days. . A special weekly activities program called Golden Ring is held for students of grades 1 and 2
